Lend Your Voice: “Sightings” Poll
Since we’re still a little stumped as to how we handle certain candids of Zac and Vanessa, we’d like to ask you, the visitors to give us your opinion on a new idea for the ZA Angels site. Rather than dedicate full posts on the main blog to mundane hounding of every-day activities, what if we were to create a side-bar feature entitled “Sightings” where a brief description e.g., “Vanessa Runs Errands in LA- 7/24/08″ directly links to outside gossip blogs (i.e. Just Jared, Gossip Girls, etc.)? This could help limit the attention focused on normal happenings of their daily life and take the admin teams’ opinion of ‘good’ versus ‘bad’ candids out of the equation, allowing YOU to decide to search for, view, or comment on the content.
*Update: As the response to this idea has been mostly positive, we are now trialling this feature in the sidebar under the heading of Sightings. Thank you to everyone who responded.
To clarify, we will not discourage visitors from linking to new candids (believe us, it helps so much when our viewers send tid-bits to our Gmail/comments section), and feel free to discuss what you’ve seen here on the blog, even if we have not made an “official” post regarding said photos. Some candids like THIS or THIS may still be featured as a main post, since clearly both are having a good time. As we consider new change on the blog, we want to focus more on the WORK pertaining to Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens and believe this feature may prove a stepping stone in achieving that intent. So we ask…

You’re always so positive. It’s just an idea right now. If the poll/comments prove that people are still unhappy, we’ll have to table the situation once again and try coming up with a different option to reach a happy medium.

i think it would still be a nice addition to the blog. I think a lot of people will like it.they still get the pics but people won’t get upset here on the blog…that is a happy medium i think…but thats just my opinion lol

Vanessa and Zac are in the public limelight… paps go with the territory… i visit your site because you have great pics and so on. We can hate the paps all we like, but Vanessa needs to realize she is famous. Older and younger stars far more famous then them have to deal with the attention. Look at Jennifer Garner, she knows it goes with being famous.
Hate me for it… but they need to just ignore the paps,and not run past them and so on. There will ALWAYS BE DEMAND for pap pictures.

I think that’s fair. There’s some people that don’t like those kind of pictures and there’s people that do so I guess they’ll both be happy since you ARE going to post them but at the same time not make it look like a big deal. I, for one, became a fan of theirs because of their work and what they do when they are off the lens (or recording studio) doesn’t concern me as much as their work but it still cheers me up to see them out and about (as long as they look happy being photograghed). I’m one of those people that doesn’t like a lot of attention concerning what they do in their daily life. Sometimes it’s a little weird when people are ike “OMG.SHE.WENT.TO.THE.SALON!!*GASP*”. I’m more like “She went the salon. She looks happy. Cool” *closes window* done. My point is: Good idea! You should totally do it!

guyss, well first of all i love this pagee, i check it all the time,
but i had a few quiestions about this, i mean i totally agree that papz the media, everything is crazy right now, they are being followed everywhere,but what are yo gonna post and what NOT, because what you wrote (with the posts) and eveything was really funny,
and a if you could put the Sightings sidebar (??) a little bigger ( im a little blind, sorry hhaa)
besides that you are amazingg, i have soo much fun reading everything, you are doing an awesome job

Hey Lola,
For your first question, we’ll decide which candids are worth their own post if we have something to say about them or if they are awesome. As this is a new feature, we’ll work out the details as we go along (we haven’t exactly established a baseline yet, but hopefully we’ll get good at choosing the ones worth posting on). As for making the sightings header bigger, we’ll work with our tech guru and try and make it more prominent.
Asides from that, thank you for the lovely compliments and I hope this answered your questions!

Yes, as long as the photos look like Zac and Vanessa are not totally ticked off. Why would we want to see them upset? I’d rather see pics like the ones from Vanessa’s B-day where they are happy, or the Lakers pics where they are relaxed and enjoying the game . The X17 pics and videos asking personal questions and getting them clearly upset are not worth posting. We as fans do not want them put in these positions. At least that is what my opinion is. I’m sure others would agree with me. As far as I’m concerned, there is nothing more bothersome than seeing our dear couple, sad and disgusted by the invasive paps. If it looks like they are upset, don’t post it. Simple as that.
