ZA Angels Dictionary

‘Zanessa’ Angels (ZA) – The name given to a founding group of ‘Zanessa’ fans who met on celeb gossip blog Just Jared.

ZA Angels (ZA’s) – The name given to the subsequent Zac and Vanessa fans who joined up to the group on Just Jared and subsequently created ZAAngels.com.

Random Outburst of Zac (ROOZ) –A random outpouring of emotion relating to any aspects of the actor Zac Efron. For example, sitting in a restaurant and you suddenly burst out with ‘OMG, Zac looks so hot chewing on a toothpick!”

Hopeless Romantics Anonymous (HRA) – A side group who are complete saps and whose hearts melt at any adorableness shown by our couple. Can also be used as a descriptive word. For example, “My HRA heart is fluttering at the sight of those Palm Springs whisper pictures.”

Glued To Youtube After High School Musical (GTYAHSM) – Another side group whose members are all youtube addicts who constantly watch all the interviews, shows, appearances etc of our couple on youtube. This addiction in most cases began after viewing HSM.

The Rooftop - The chat room where a large number of ZA’s congregate to chat about anything and everything. Named after Troy’s secret hideout in HSM. If you venture inside be warned, things can get pretty crazy!

Code Red - Used in case of emergency. If you receive a code red message on your facebook or email, it means get to the rooftop asap. There is usually important Zanessa-related information, pictures or videos that you must see immediately.

Channelling - What the ZA’s at the rooftop do to conjure up people or events. For example, after channelling Zac, we had pictures posted of him in the following few hours. In the case of other ZA’s, channelling is a less urgent way to contact them than a code red. Has proven rather useful but is not 100% effective.

Damn Troyella! - An expression of frustration used when the rooftop starts acting temperamental and kicks you off. Based on the longer expression, “Damn, Troyella must want some alone time on the rooftop!”

Haters - The word used by the ZA’s to describe people who post hateful and spiteful comments on celebrity blogs, especially those that inhabit Zanessa-related threads.

Zaquiris and Zacuilas - Special ZA cocktails that are consumed at our cyber-parties and cyber-luau’s. If you’ve never been to a cyber-party, you don’t know what you’re missing!

FFotW – The abbreviated term for our Fanfic of the Week segment (because seriously, who can be bothered typing out the whole thing all of the time).

YTVotW – The abbreviated term for another weekly segment, Youtube Video of the Week (see reason above).

Zweed - An imaginary drug that enables a person to enter the state of being known as a ‘Zanessa’ High.

Moment of Zac (MOZ) - A moment of silent reflection on the absolute perfection that is embodied in Zac Efron.

Rollercoaster of Zac Love (ROZL) - The ups and downs of loving Zac Efron.

Kangaroo A.D.D. - Anytime a ZA in conversation with fellow ZA’s experiences delayed reactions not consistent with the time or continuum. Mocking and/or light jeering may result from others who notice this lapse. This term originated in an online blog Zac Efron penned during his travels to Australia.

‘The Hotness’ - A word used to describe Zac’s aura and startling good looks. Be warned, ‘the hotness’ has exhibited potential to penetrate through television/ movie screens and run off. Containment of ‘the hotness’ is neither suggested or encouraged. If found, do not attempt to capture ‘the hotness’.

Efron - Used as a swear word. I know there’s been a time Angels when you wish you could swear, but for whatever reason you couldn’t. Never fear “Efron” to the rescue. Here are some of my favorites. “It’s a damn Efron shame” “It’s about Efron time” “Shut the Efron up” As you can see the list goes on. What will your favorite Efron saying be???

Pulling a Dee - Using any means necessary to secure access to an otherwise off-limits area in the pursuit of Zac or Vanessa. Refer to the Mission Accomplished post for details.

OMEG - Oh my Efron God

Zexting - Frequent text messaging surrounding ‘the hotness’. Usually done when your focus should be elsewhere (i.e. at work, school, during a meeting, a restaurant, a birthday party… you get the idea!)

‘In the presence’ – This expression, emotion, whatever you’d like to call it is only allowed to be used when standing before and/or around ‘the hotness’. Let’s use it in a sentence: When I found myself in the presence, words failed me.

Vashley-The nickname the ZA Angels blog refers to the duo consisting of Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens.

What the Efron Are You Thinking? (WtEAYT) - The abbreviated term (because we LOVE our abbreviations!) for a feature on the blog where we provide a photo and ask the viewers to tell us what Zac/Vanessa were thinking in it. (i.e. In the above photo Zac is thinking to himself __________.)

Blame it on Efron - A popularly used sentiment in lieu of finding the responsible culprit to the maelstroms of our lives. Failed a test? Blame it on Efron. Not sleeping like you used to? Blame it on Efron. Global warming? Blame it on Efron (for his hotness is literally burning up the o-zone!) We don’t reallyblame Efron for these things, it’s just easier to place the fault on him, haha!

“Not true”- Infamous words uttered by Vanessa the night of Zac’s 20th birthday dinner at Orso restaurant. We’ve taken a liking to using it in protest to things that are farce and simply… not true.

“Kidding!”- Arguably the most annoying line delivered by Gabriella during her poolside banter with Troy in HSM2. (“Your shoes don’t match. Kidding!) It’s a surefire way to garner a wince or eye roll from fellow ZA’s.

“Efrontabulous!”- To be used in sheer moments of joy and/or excitement.

Zef/Zefron-Shorter abbreviation for Zac on the rare occasion when the “hotness” is not applicable and/or too long of a word to spell out (especially when “Zexting”).

Rated Zac- An (unofficial) fanfiction.net rating, when situations/content of a sexual nature exceed the highest rating “M”. In this case, “Rated Zac” can be used to describe a scenario that is so hot, it’s rated Zac. Proceed with caution when met with this warning. (Created by: Dani and Nel)

High School Musical Anticipation Anxiety (HSMAA) – An affliction which causes the sufferer to become increasingly antsy, searching for any little piece of information on the upcoming movie and can result in sleeplessness, irritability and emotional instability. The only known cure is scheduled for release in October 2008.
