It’s Friday night and you’ve just finished a long week of work.
You’re tired, but your better half is ready to go out on the town! A movie? Concert? Comedy show? It doesn’t matter, as long as it ends with a pint in a cosy pub. But… where do you go?
Well, don’t worry! With this article, we will help you select the perfect place for an unforgettable date night!
1) The Theatre District
This part of Brisbane is full of restaurants and bars that are made to cater to theatre goers (after all, who wants to find somewhere new at midnight?). From casual lunch spots like Nando’s or Grill’d to pubs like Montague (which even has a pool table), you can get everything you need to make for an awesome night.
2) Fortitude Valley
Fortitude Valley is home to some of the best clubs and bars Brisbane has to offer, so this area is often popular with young people looking to party on the weekend. Although it’s fun for everyone, we recommend it more strongly for daters who are closest in age (and perhaps maturity level). That being said, there are plenty of great date spots hidden throughout this valley!
– For food: The Wickham . It’s all Australian cuisine here, so you’ll find only the freshest meats and produce prepared in innovative ways! This place really knows how to pull off classy without being pretentious.
– For drinks: Brew . A beer lover’s heaven, the menu here has a wide range of beers from all over Australia and overseas, all served in different vessels.
3) South Bank
Looking for a date night on the cheap? Look no further! From casual fast food joints to sit down restaurants & cafes, there are plenty of options that won’t break the bank.
4) West End
In many ways similar to Fortitude Valley’s offerings, but it contains less bars/clubs per suburb (partial reason being is that this area borders Teneriffe). As such, we recommend this area for people looking for “a night out” rather than just “going out”.
5) Brisbane CBD
Last, but not least, the Brisbane CBD is full of great date spots that are just a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This includes everything from basic cafes to sit down restaurants where you can share a romantic meal in relative peace!
– For food: Radius on Edward . It has an interesting fusion menu, so you can experiment with something new. Plus it has free Wi-Fi, so your evening won’t be wasted staring at your phone!
– For drinks: Mr. Crackles . Even if you don’t eat here (which we recommend doing!), their cocktails are worth checking out… and they have a pretty awesome gaming area too!
So there you have it. We hope this list has inspired you to spice up your next date night in Brisbane!
